Mario Simon is one of world’s leading experts in identifying customer-centric drivers to fuel brand growth. He is the Global Customer Engagement topic leader for The Boston Consulting group.

Mario’s passion is helping business leaders harness the power of fusing left-brain and right-brain thinking to create economic and social value. He serves clients and consults on corporate and marketing strategy, branding, segmentation, and pricing.

Mario has published numerous articles and editorials in scientific, academic and marketing journals. Hehas been a featured guest on Wall Street Journal TV, Bloomberg, Fox Business News, and Al Jazeera International and is an accredited contributor to the Huffington Post.

Mario has been invited to business and marketing bodies as a thought leader and contributor, including recent keynote speaking engagements with the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF), the Brazilian Association of Advertisers (ABA) and the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), among others.

His industry experience spans consumer goods, consumer technology, higher education, financial services, professional services, hospitality, telecommunications, media, digital, health care, technology equipment, luxury, transportation, and home construction.

Until recently, Mario was CEO of Kantar Vermeer, a marketing strategy consulting firm he created within WPP that was named among the Fastest Growing Firms by Consulting Magazine. Mario led the global expansion of the company to the US, UK, Holland, China, Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, Japan, Australia and South Africa.

Mario’s past roles included serving as Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company in New York and as co-founder and principal of BBDO Consulting in London.

Mario holds a PhD with highest honors and two Masters degrees from Yale University, where he specialized in Economics, Game Theory and Behavioral Economics. His academic research wassponsored by Fulbright and he was an invited scholar to Center of Advanced Social Studies at Stanford.

Mario lives in New York with his husband Michael and their children Penelope and Leandros.
